The season’s up and running in Val d’Isère.
What more could you ask for. Plenty of fresh white powder snow and even some sunny skies from time to time. The opening weekend was great. Saturday dawned bright and sunny and the slopes beckoned. Unfortunately Sunday saw gale force winds and white out conditions – just to remind us who was really the boss up here!
There are plenty of slopes open and the link to and from Tignes is also open. For the moment the lower runs are not skiable. There’s more snow forecast and the piste patrol are out working day and night to get those open soon.

The excitement is rising again in the resort, as there is to be World Cup ski racing next weekend on the Bellevarde Face. The World’s top skiers competing just before the Winter Olympics. It promises to be breathtaking – Will you be joining us?
